The material can be ordered from the National Council of Churches in Australia. It has been this way since the beginnings of this international movement in 1908.

In Australia each year, members of the Faith and Unity Commission of the National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA) prepare material for use in our parishes, schools. The International Week of Prayer for Christian Unity begins January 18 and ends on January 25, the Feast of the Conversion of St. The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is actually an eight-day observance or octave of prayer. One hundred years ago, delegates of Protestant and Anglican mission societies joined with Orthodox guests with the aim of helping missionaries to forge a common spirit and coordinate their work. In so doing, Christians in Scotland honour and remember the Edinburgh Mission Conference of 1910. The material for 2010 was prepared by a Scottish ecumenical group coordinated by Action of Churches Together in Scotland (ACTS). The theme for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in 2022 was chosen by the Middle East Council of Churches: 'We saw the star in the East, and we came to worship him.' (Mt 2:2) More than ever, in these difficult times, we need a light that shines in the darkness and that light, Christians proclaim, has been manifested in Jesus Christ.
